Flu is the
abbreviated word for influenza disorder. To know the
symptoms of this ailment, it is easy to remember FACTS which
actually goes like this: Fever – Aches – Chills – Tiredness
– Sudden symptons. All these are considered as the basic
symptoms of influenza disorder. However, flu symptons could
be mild to severe and often it turns acute from mild
condition without specific significance. So it is ideal to
check the body temperatures at regular intervals and consult
the doctor immediately. The common symptoms of influenza or
flu include:
• Generally higher body temperatures / fever
• Mild to unbearable headaches
• Noticeable pains in the muscles
• Chills
• Feeling of excessive exhaustion or fatigue
• Dry coughing especially during nights
• Runny nose especially in case of children
• Various symptons of stomach that usually include nausea,
vomiting and diarrhoea which are more commonly found in
children than adult patients
It is however, not necessary that all the patients would
experience all such symptoms when they are affected with
influenza or flu disorders. But in case of any or all of
such symptons found to be present in the body, consulting
the physician is rather advisable.
Some more usual symptoms of flu also include:
• Headaches, fever, chills, persistent sneezing, runny nose,
inflammation in the nasal tract, often choked or blocked
nasal passage or nostrils
• Dry coughing, sore throat condition
• Excessive sweating
• Mild to acute body aches, muscle aches, pains in the limbs
and joints
• Considerable loss of appetite or craving
